A Beach House state of mind belongs to more than summer. Here on Lakeshore Drive, it means a little distance from the rush, a meal to settle into and a welcome that makes a first visit feel easy.
Our West Olive roots
In 1960, Bill and Karin Atherton opened Sandy Point Drive-In on the corner of Tyler Street and Lakeshore Drive. Following a fire, Sandy Point Restaurant opened at its current site in 1976.
The building was remodeled and reopened as Sandy Point Beach House on January 1, 2013. Today, New American dining brings burgers, seafood, steaks and the weekend brunch table together under one roof.
There’s a little Florida Keys spirit here, even in a Michigan winter: a relaxed welcome, music, whiskey and fine wine. Come in from the cold, settle into dinner and let us look after you. In summer, that same Beach House spirit moves outdoors to the patios, container bar and ice-cream truck.
